Tennis Elbow |
DESCRIPTION:
TENNIS ELBOW also known as lateral epicondylitis is inflammation of the tendons, ligaments and muscles that surround the elbow causing pain in the elbow, specifically on the outside. Radial nerve irritation produces similar symptoms to tennis elbow. Both of these conditions can be treated with Active Release Technique protocols to either free the nerve or help reduce the strain on muscles, tendons and ligaments in the elbow.
- I am a 48 year old male in excellent health. About 2 months ago I injured my right elbow while using hand tools at work. I had pain every time I tried to lift something with my right arm. I figured "give it some time it will get better". After 6 weeks I was still in pain. I was talking to 2 of my co-worker and they suggested that I try Dr. Kaminski. They both had excellent results with their problems.
I had never been to a Chiropractor before and had no idea what A.R.T. was but I decided to give it a try. On my first visit Dr. Kaminski went to work on the nerves in my right elbow. After 20 minutes of work Dr. Kaminski asked me to try and lift a table. I did and the pain was gone. I went back the following week for a follow up visit. I was still pain free, but my neck and shoulder were stiff from the weeks of compensating for my elbow pain. Dr. Kaminski went to work on these areas. I left after this visit and got in my car to drive to work. On my way to work I realized that I was sitting upright with my head against the head rest of my car. I have not been able to do this in years.
I can not believe the amount of flexibility that has been restored. Don't wait for it to get better by itself, take an active approach.
– RALPH B.
